The wonders of Angkor Wat

Despite the fact that there’s not much leg-room on a plane (especially for those of us with four legs!) , I managed to have a little snooze on the overnight flight to Bangkok. The next day we took a bus to the Cambodian border and from there on to Siem Reap.

This morning we jumped into a tuk-tuk and headed for the temples.

The first visited was Angkor Wat. The name means ‘temple that is a city’, and it is indeed huge – really awesome! I felt dwarfed amongst the massive structures, each with its own history and tales of epic battles hewn out of stone.
